What is the Ukrainian Freedom Fund?
The Ukrainian Freedom Fund (UFF) is a U.S.-based nonprofit dedicated to supporting a free, democratic, and independent Ukraine. Founded initially in 2014, UFF works closely with Ukrainian partners to address critical and emerging requirements while supporting leadership development and broader institutional capacity building.
How are donations used?
Donations support UFF’s work in Ukraine across our strategic priorities, including leadership and institutional capacity building, critical and emerging requirements, strategic partnerships, and adaptation and innovation. Donors may also have opportunities to support specific initiatives based on current requirements.
How does UFF ensure support reaches the intended recipients?
UFF maintains visibility over the support it provides from donor resources through delivery and implementation. Our Ukrainian and Allied teams work directly with intended recipients whenever possible, allowing us to verify requirements, coordinate support, and maintain accountability for donor resources.
How does UFF identify requirements?
UFF maintains close relationships with the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other Ukrainian partners, allowing us to understand requirements directly from those confronting them. Our presence in Kyiv and regular engagement with leaders and units on the ground help us identify where support can have the greatest impact.
Are donations to UFF tax-deductible?
Yes. Ukrainian Freedom Fund is a U.S.-registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and donations are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by U.S. law. Donors should consult their tax advisor regarding their individual circumstances.
How does UFF ensure financial accountability and transparency?
UFF is committed to responsible stewardship, financial accountability, and transparent communication with its donors.
