Before the celebration, certified trainers from our partner organization, the Ukrainian Center for Humanitarian Protection, led sessions focused on the risks posed by mines and explosive remnants of war.<\/p>\n<p>Children learned how to recognize dangerous objects, why they must never touch them, and how to act safely. Trainers demonstrated how a metal detector works, explained the role of sappers, and allowed children to interact with the equipment. Each child received notebooks and coloring books with clear mine-safety rules.<\/p>\n<p>This education is essential. More than 574,000 hectares of agricultural land in Kharkiv Oblast remained potentially mined following the de-occupation in 2022.
